Rider Report: Meet Jake

There are riders who fill the room the moment they walk in. And then there’s Jake, who doesn’t need to. He’s the kind of person who sits quietly, listens deeply, and only speaks after he’s turned something over in his mind long enough to know his words count. He may not be loud, but he carries the kind of presence that makes people lean in. Covered in tattoos, riding a Harley Davidson Breakout, and grounded by a heart that loves hard and steady, Jake is the exact kind of rider who reflects what Open Heart Outlaws is built on: family, grit, and purpose.

Jake’s dream ride takes him to the Netherlands. It’s the kind of ride that connects the past to the present, which is something Jake values more than he lets on. With family heritage rooted there and scenery he’s always admired, a long, open stretch of Dutch countryside is sitting patiently at the top of his list. Of course, life on two wheels isn’t always serene. From brutal thunderstorms to unexpected sleet, Jake’s had his fair share of “white-knuckle and keep going” moments. Ask him about it and he’ll tell you straight: sleet is never a good time. Which is probably why his gas station stops are powered by Red Bull and Zyns. Who wouldn’t need that kind of buzz in New York weather?

Jake’s world is built around family, and if you know his story, that makes perfect sense. He and his older brother, Nick, share the same father. The one who survived a horrific dumpster crushing accident that should have taken his life but didn’t. That survival threads through their family like a quiet reminder of what really matters. Jake’s twin brother, Jordan, is another pillar in that circle, and at Jordan’s bachelor party, Jake discovered two important truths: one, that a “bracket buster” bet is a terrible idea and when you need people to lean on, brothers are the strongest shoulders.

Ask Jake what he’s most grateful for and his answer reveals the heart behind it all: the place he calls home, the people God put in his life, and the moments he gets to share with family throughout the year. When he’s not riding or welding, Jake is happiest in the woods. His perfect day is hunting with his dad and both brothers, tucked away from everything but the trees, the quiet, and the people who mean the most.

This past year, Jake set a goal to ride 1,000 sponsored miles, and knowing him, it wasn’t just a number. It was a promise. A commitment to the cause, to the people he rides for, and to the miles that tell a story about who he is: steady, loyal, thoughtful, and tougher than he ever acts. Jake may be quiet, but everything he does speaks volumes. And we’re proud to have him riding with us. Sponsor some miles for Jake below.
